CARE & USE
Our wares are made to be enjoyed in the kitchen and are safe for food service, with the exception of Lava wares which we recommend for dry foods only. With our satin-matte and gloss glazed pieces they're safe for use use in the microwave and dishwasher. Some wares may be safe for oven use, please see each individual listing. If so, we recommend avoiding direct heat from a flame broiler or stovetop. Shocking from one temperature to another may also be harmful for the wares. To decrease the risk of shocking, preheat the ware with the oven if it’s cold from a refrigerator or freezer. We cannot guarantee at-home oven use as each oven varies.
To lift drink stains and silverware marks, our go-to is always Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleaner, you can find it on Amazon.com here. It's a miracle worker and will restore any daily-use wares to brand new. For general clean up, we again recommend that wares not be shocked from one temperature to another. To avoid shocking, allow your dish to cool to room temperature if it’s hot from the oven before washing with cold water. And alternately, allow your dish to warm to room temperature if it’s cold from the refrigerator before washing with hot water. Always clean with gentle cleansers and non-abrasive tools to keep your wares full of life.
HANDMADE DISTINCTIONS
Each item we create is handcrafted and therefore unique, with it's own slight variations from our original design and product photography. Distinctions and variations can occur in glaze color, clay body color, texture, and finish. Each piece that passes from our studio to your hands is carefully inspected for any flaws that occur outside of these expected irregularities. We feel it's the warmth of hand in our work that lends character to every ware — we hope you feel the same.
